VJR Electric was founded by Vicente J. Rosa & Heather Rosa in 2016. Vicente (“V” for short) is a master electrician and has worked many years in the electrical field. Heather, his wife, has a background in customer service and administration. Together, they decided to pursue their passion for helping others by providing top quality electrical services to their neighbors in the Harrisonburg & Rockingham County area.
V has been working with his hands since he was a kid helping his father around the house. After pursuing some college and not finding fulfillment in any particular major or field, V ended up in Southwest Virginia working on a house. From replacing the windows, to completely opening up the entire living room ceiling to a vaulted ceiling with a gentleman who had been a contractor for over 30 years, this house made V consider going into a trade field. The electrical field became the logical choice due to its technical and mathematical nature. Additionally, V’s grandfather did electrical work in New York City with his own printing business, and he encouraged V to pursue the electrical field as well.
When V came back to the Harrisonburg area, he started working for a large industrial electrical contractor and further honed his skills. However, V quickly realized that he wanted to pursue his own electrical service business as a means of serving PEOPLE, not entities. V knew he could offer top quality service while personally developing a trusting relationship with valued clients. Over the past several years, VJR has come to serve many residents of our local area and has been dubbed the area's "neighborhood electrician" by many due to the trust they've built, premium service they provide, and the personable nature with which they conduct business. V and Heather consider this designation a high honor and will continue to pursue positive relationships with as many area "neighbors" as possible!
VJR Electric is guided by the following mission and principles:
1. "Stand firm" (or as we say "be grounded") 1 Corinthians 15:58 - Just as a home should be electrically grounded to protect it against a host of potential hazards, we believe we must be "grounded" in our commitment to give ourselves fully to serving our clients well, as we know doing so is a worthwhile investment.
2. "Let your light shine before others!" Matthew 5:16 - We want to bring light to our community by serving individuals and families well. We truly strive to brighten our clients' day with our kindness, positive attitude, honesty, and respect for them and their home.
